Simona Watkis

President and CEO, Region 1

Simona is an accomplished and multitalented Executive with domestic and regional experience in sales, business development, operations, P&L responsibility, multichannel product distribution and marketing, involving both start up and growth organizations. She was previously the CEO of NCB Capital Markets (Barbados) Limited where she led the strategic direction with full responsibility for local and regional business expansion and product development. 

During the time she successfully led a team of revenue drivers in wealth management, syndication, and investment banking, along with other business critical functional operations to ensure that all aspects of the company were efficient. At Proven Wealth (Cayman) Limited, Simona will be responsible for regional expansion and fostering development within the market by providing investors with greater investment opportunities particularly through fixed income investments and structured financing. She sits as Director of the Barbados Stock Exchange, where she serves on the Audit & Finance Committee and the Viability Committee. As a member of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce she serves as council member and sits on the Finance Committee.  Simona currently lives in the Cayman Islands and has lived and worked in the Caribbean for over (20) years.  

Jermaine Walton

Manager, Investment Banking, Region 1

Jermaine Walton is a knowledgeable and goal-oriented professional with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science & International Relations, with experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Debt & Equity Financing and Capital Markets. 

Jermaine will be responsible for identifying potential Investment Banking and Credit clients, by promoting and selling investment banking products and services. He will also negotiate and structure suitable financial solutions that suit the resources and strategic goals of clients and develop and foster client and networking relationships in order to retain and attract new clients.

Emily Bynoe

Client Experience Officer

Emily Bynoe is an accomplished finance professional with extensive work experience within the banking and finance industry in excess of 15 years and is an exceptionally focused, analytical problem-solver with a proven track record of enhancing customer satisfaction and building strong, enduring relationships. As Client Experience Officer at Proven Wealth (Cayman) Ltd., Emily has committed herself to providing tailored client support and portfolio planning services byway of identifying and addressing client needs to ensure that every client has been presented with investment options to suit their resources and investment goals. She is responsible for all client service matters within Cayman, Bermuda and BVI including facilitating marketing initiatives, administrative support as well as the creation and careful curation of client and networking relationships. Using her expertise in the industry and the customer service skills, Emily is well equipped in her role to effectively provide guidance on the investment products and services as well as to ensure a pleasant and excellent client experience with every interaction.

Shanika Wright

Portfolio Analyst

Shanika Wright is a highly analytical finance professional with experience in Credit and Risk Analyses, Investment Portfolio Management, Securities Lending, Liquidity Management and Data analytics. With a proven track record in analyzing financial statements for opportunities, formulating investment strategies and technical knowledge, Shanika, in her role as Portfolio Analyst, will ensure the performance of all managed portfolios exceed the target and are managed in accordance to established guidelines. Shanika is responsible for effectively managing liquidity, building out client portfolios relative to risk appetite, preparing investment proposals and recommendations to all multi-asset portfolios as well as coordinating with financial advisors and the research team to identify investment options and risks. She is extremely detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills which compliments her ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Rodrigo Martinez

Compliance Officer

Julian is a performance-motivated Level 3 CISI-qualified Financial Advisor with over 9 years of experience in the financial advisory industry. Prior to joining PROVEN Wealth Cayman, he was a Financial Advisor for deVere Group, one of the world’s largest independent financial advisory group. 

Throughout his career, he has consistently met and exceeded targets, showcasing his goal-oriented nature and sales expertise. His diverse background encompasses sales, property, business development, account management, marketing, and promotion. 

In his previous role, Julian managed a portfolio of over 150 clients, with assets under management exceeding £4 million, where he provided a range of services, including international structured notes, UK pensions, UK investments, regular saving plans for retirement and university planning, trust planning, and inheritance tax planning. 

Julian has also worked in multiple roles across the deVere Group internationally, working in Ghana and Zimbabwe, where he successfully serviced 150 clients across Africa. Achieving consistent sales success, consistently ranking among the top 10 consultants in Africa and playing a key role in expanding the company’s portfolio by £5 million in assets under management in 2019.

Julian’s passion is helping clients achieve their financial goals, combined with his extensive experience, this makes him a valuable asset as a Financial Advisor.
